Juggling Life and Robots

Members of the Foley Freeze are very devoted to the team’s success even if that means juggling busy schedules. Our students are heavily involved in other activities at Bishop Foley so they must figure out how to make sure they still contribute to the team while also participating in activities and sports such as basketball, bowling, golf, band, and the school musical. Yet, we still manage to have success in all aspects of our team.

Our team starts working at 6 pm every day, which is after most other school activities, to ensure our members that they will have time to work. Many students and mentors will stay as late into the night as 10:30 because they just can’t stop their momentum on their projects. That is the passion that drives our team to accomplish great feats.

“Being involved in Robotics has taught me how to balance my time between homework and managing how much time I spend doing other activities,” junior Sabrina Causley said.

We appreciate the hard working hours that our students and mentors put in and there will be many more long, but productive and enjoyable, nights as we prepare for our first district competition in two weeks.
