“Bagging Up” our Six-Week Build Season

On Tuesday, February 20, The Foley Freeze had a long and exhilarating day as they worked through Stop Build Day – commonly called Bag Day. On this day, the build season officially comes to a close and the competition robot must be bagged. Throughout the evening, students and mentors across all sub teams joined forces to finish the robot by the midnight deadline; Programming ran tests to ensure the robot is ready to compete, Design tweaked parts and the overall concept, Fabrication remade parts to ensure a precise fit, Prototype/Assembly continued to build the robot, Electrical checked the electrical systems and completed the final connections, all while Public Relations took photos to document the whole process. Bag Day, which seemed so far away at the start of the season, was a long day of finalizing all build elements for our team.  The deadline also marked the start of the competition season, setting the stage for another great season for The Foley Freeze.
