Foley Freeze wins big at Troy District!

The Foley Freeze competed at Troy District March 31st and April 1st and won their second competition this season! They were also awarded the Motorola Quality Award. The Quality Award celebrates machine robustness in concept and fabrication. This is the first time that the Foley Freeze has won this award. The Freeze also emerged as champions from the Gull Lake District earlier in March.
The team was the captain of the 7th seeded alliance and choose team 5460, Strike Zone, and team 818, The Steel Armadillos, as their alliance partners. They upset the 2nd, 3rd and 1st seeded alliances to take the championship. This win cemented their place at the Michigan State Championship at Saginaw Valley State University, April 13-15. They are ranked 14th in the state and cannot wait to compete. This will give them the opportunity to qualify for the World Championship in St. Louis on April 27-29. They will next be competing at Shepherd District April 7th and 8th.
